Dr. Mark Sandag
Dr. Sandag was a litigation paralegal, then went on to law school and practiced law as a civil litigator in NY, NJ, and Florida for 15 years before retiring from practice to start teaching. Dr. Sandag taught English and AVID at C. Leon King Senior High in Tampa and as an adjunct at HCC before joining the college full time as an instructor. Dr. Sandag is also the Program Manager for the Paralegal Studies program.

Dr. Tom Tankersley
Dr. Tankersley received his Bachelors degree from Ball State University and his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. Before beginning his teaching career at Ivy Tech State College in Muncie, Indiana, Dr. Tankersley worked in the areas of real estate and contract law. Dr. Tankersley is actively involved with the American Association for Paralegal Education and serves on its Future of Legal Education Task Force.

Adjunct instructors in the paralegal program are required to hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited university or college. Many of these instructors are practicing attorneys or judges within the surrounding legal community who bring real-life experiences to their classroom teaching.
