PURPOSE
This administrative rule establishes College policy regarding institutional membership in professional organizations for Hillsborough Community College (HCC).
RULE
The President or designee may authorize an institutional membership in a professional organization for Hillsborough Community College and individual memberships in organizations that certify credentials required by the College or provide materials necessary for the staff to maintain professional competency and awareness of best practices. These memberships may be purchased with College funds in accordance with the appropriate administrative rules and procedures for purchasing. The President may utilize funds generated from auxiliary operations and contracts to fund memberships in professional organizations.
