PURPOSE

This rule establishes policy regarding the academic term at Hillsborough Community College (HCC).

RULE

The academic year is divided into the fall term, the spring term, and the summer term. Within each of these terms, the administration may schedule variations to meet the needs of students. The variations may include, but shall not be limited to, such variations as one-week courses, five-week courses, seven-week courses, ten-week courses and weekend courses. Hillsborough Community College awards a unit of credit based on the semester hour with the length of each term determined on an annual basis by the State-approved calendar.
