PURPOSE
This rule establishes College policy prohibiting all tobacco use at Hillsborough Community College.
RULE
Hillsborough Community College is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors to the College, which includes eliminating tobacco use as part of our commitment to promoting healthy practices and choices for individuals.
Tobacco use is prohibited on all property and in all facilities owned or leased by Hillsborough Community College, including all vehicles. There are no designated smoking areas on College property. Tobacco use includes all types of tobacco and tobacco-like products including smokeless tobacco and any other smoking product including electronic cigarettes.
The President will develop an administrative procedure to implement this rule, which will include but not be limited to provisions for notification, signage, compliance and enforcement.
