The 2+2 path allows you to start your education at a community college (typically 2 years) and finish your bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university (typically another 2 years).

HCC is a great place to start for international students who dream of earning a four-year bachelor’s degree in America.  The courses you take to earn an associate in arts (AA) degree at HCC are the same courses that you would take during the first two years at a four-year institution, but at a much lower cost! In addition to satisfying general education requirements, you take introductory classes in your intended upper-division major. Choose from one of 36 AA pathways!

Graduating students leave prepared to succeed as juniors (third-year students) at top four-year colleges or universities across the U.S. 

As an HCC associate degree graduate, you are guaranteed a seat in one of the 12 Florida public universities.

HCC is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). An Associate in Arts degree at HCC guarantees transfer to one of Florida's 12 state universities or a Florida college offering four-year programs through an agreement with the Florida College System. To ensure accuracy in selected courses, F-1 students should meet with an International Student Advisor at the Center for International Education!

FUSE is a new program between the University of South Florida and HCC to provide seamless pathways to get both an Associate degree and a Bachelor's degree from USF. Students, who meet the criteria of the program will be identified, co-advised and tracked as FUSE students and will be guaranteed admission to USF upon successful completion of the Associate degree.

HCC's university transfer agreement with the University of South Florida (USF) provides Conditional Admission to USF! When you apply for admission to one of HCC's Associate in Arts transfer programs, you can choose to receive a conditional admission letter from USF. Just select the option that you would like to receive the letter when you complete our online International Student Application! When you apply for your F-1 student visa at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your home country, you can present this letter along with your admissions letter from HCC.

HCC has statewide articulation agreements, program-specific transfer agreements and transfer agreements by institution that allow you to apply credits earned in Associate in Arts and Science degree programs at HCC to a particular academic program at the other (public or private) institution. Articulation agreements benefit students by outlining clear academic pathways. They also help reduce the number of courses needed to take to complete a degree, saving you time and money.
