InLab@HCC Funds Student Businesses Through the EEVF
In 2018, HCC was one of four colleges selected in the U.S. to secure a $250,000 gift from the Everyday Entrepreneur Venture Fund Foundation (EEVF). This gift provides funding to students who complete one of the InLab@HCC Entrepreneurship Programs.
Since securing this grant, the HCC Foundation was able to secure a matching gift, and the fund has grown to $500,000. As this initiative expands its impact, future plans include increasing the fund to $5 million to allow for follow-up funding, and larger initial investments for capital intensive startups.

Newly Funded Student BusinessesIn 2021, five student businesses received funding and generated $332,000 in aggregate revenue and created 9 new jobs. The InLab@HCC EEVF approved funding for additional student businesses. These businesses are projected to reach nearly $800,000 in aggregate revenue. We celebrate the success of these businesses!
