The HCC EMT Program is a one semester, 12 credit program that is offered every semester at the Dale Mabry, Plant City and South Shore Campuses. Depending on how students arrange their class schedule; students can be on campus 2 - 4 days /evenings a week.
You must be an HCC student to begin the registration process. If you have never attended HCC please apply online. After receiving your welcome email, you will need to complete the orientation to learn how to register for classes through your HCC student account.
While our EMT program is open enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis, all three EMT course must be taken in the same term and at the same campus. Students who have applied to HCC and meet all of the eligibility requirements listed above, are permitted to register. If new or returning students have not applied, had all transcripts evaluated, and met the eligibility criteria by the start of registration, they may not find available courses.
Please refer to the Academic Calendar for specific registration dates for each semester.

EMT Retracking (For students with an expired EMT license or incomplete EMT coursework/certification)

Students who do not successfully complete the EMT program within two years or who do not obtain state certification within one year after course completion must retake all courses of the EMT program. This includes students who have incomplete EMT coursework, or EMT students who completed the training and did not sit for the State exam within one year of completing the courses.
** HCC does not currently offer an EMT Refresher course for students looking to brush up on prior EMT skills/education.
