Bistro 118

Bistro 118, located on the Dale Mabry Campus, in the Humanities Building in room DHUM 118, is a fine dining restaurant experience run by our own Culinary, Hospitality, Restaurant, and Dietetic Management students.

Due to the nature of this facility, we appreciate your understanding that this is a hands-on learning laboratory for these students. Seating is done through the reservation process on a first come first serve basis. Reservations are pre-paid ($12.00) via credit card at the link below.

The times for lunch and dinner are strictly adhered to, as this is class time for these students. Please understand that there is still clean-up that must be done once your dining experience ends.

Hours of operation:

  • Lunch 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Last seating for reserved seats and walk-ins (if available) is at 12:30 p.m.

Menus and Reservations

Disclaimer: Our menus are designed around student learning outcomes and everything is prepared in a classroom setting. With that said, any food allergy requests, intolerances, or vegetarian replacements are not guaranteed; However, please contact the Culinary & Hospitality department for specific questions about our menus and we will accommodate you as best as we can. Notify your server if you have concerns regarding the menu. Keep in mind, our menus may change based on product availability or class adjustments.

FAQ’s:

When does Bistro 118 open? The Bistro opens halfway through the fall and spring semesters and runs until the last two weeks of the semesters. It opens at 12pm (noon) and closes promptly at 1pm.

How much is lunch at Bistro 118? Lunch is a set price of $12 per person for a 3-course meal that includes water or iced tea. If you would like a specialty coffee beverage, it will be an additional $2-$3 via cashless QR code payment.

Are the reservations refundable? Reservations are NON-refundable.

Can the servers get tips? Any gratuities given are allocated to the Hospitality Management scholarship fund.

Are service dogs allowed? Service Animals are allowed under the Americans with Disabilities Act to have access to public places including Bistro 118.

Are emotional support animals allowed? Emotional Support Animals (ESA) are not permitted in Hillsborough Community College classrooms, campus buildings, common rooms or campus events. ESAs are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Bistro 118 is considered a classroom and as such, ESAs are not permitted in our dining room.  If a student would like to request an Emotional Support Animal academic accommodation, he/she must register with the Student Disability Center and present proper documentation.

If separate reservations are made, can we sit together? Yes, if you would like to sit with someone else who also made a reservation, send us a message through the “Contact Us” link on the Bistro 118 website.

Can substitutions or adjustments be made for menu items? All menus are set and no adjustments or substitutions can be made. All menus are posted online and should be reviewed prior to making a reservation.

Can I take my leftover food To-Go? Due to food safety concerns, we do not provide To-Go containers.

What if I show up late to my reservation? Reservations will be held until 12:30 p.m. You will not be able to attend the dining room service after that time.

What if I can no longer attend my reservation? You can “gift” your reservation to another person, just make sure to leave a message or notify the host of the name the reservation is under.
