Visual Assessment ATC

ATC.OPT (11 Credit Hours) | Part of the Health and Medical Subject

The visual assessment advanced technical certificate is only available for those with an opticianry AS degree and it provides training in safety, sports vision, low vision and refraction.

This 11 credit hour program provides training in safety and sports vision, low vision and refraction for students who have already earned an associate in applied science degree in Opticianry.

This curriculum is from the current college catalog and is meant to provide prospective students an example of courses taken in this degree/certificate.  It is not intended to be used for graduation requirements. Students should consult an advisor for graduation information.

Program Required Courses

YEAR I – First Semester

†OPT 1225 Low Vision - 3 cr.

†OPT 1666 Safety and Sports Vision - 3 cr.

†OPT 2375 Refractometry - 2 cr.

YEAR I – Second Semester

OPT 2375L Refractometry Laboratory I - 2 cr.

YEAR I – Third Semester

†OPT 2376L Refractometry Laboratory II - 1 cr.
