Military College Credit Programs

You may be eligible for college credit from your military educational experiences. HCC may award college credit for military courses, training, and experiences through various evaluation methods.

To have military experience evaluated, please take the following steps:

Request your military transcripts through the Joint Services Transcript (JST) website or the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) website.
Review the various methods outlined below to acquire credits from your military experiences.
Connect with an HCC Veteran Student Affairs Representative.to discuss coursework that may apply to your education plan.
Use the Equivalency List adopted by the Board of Governors and the State Board of Education to determine if the credit or clock hours are applicable toward your degree or certificate

Priority Registration

Education Center@ MacDill

HCC's Education Center at MacDill Air Force Base is open to both civilians and military personnel; however, active duty military is always given priority in registering for classes. Classes and assistance are available to prepare individuals for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and college admission tests. The center is open for student support from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday and is closed on Fridays and federal holidays. Veteran Student Affairs

HCC's houses an Office of Veteran Student Affairs on each campus and we are proud to serve active duty service members, reservists, Veterans and dependents eligible for benefits at HCC.
