A Florida Resident Discount is available for students who are classified as an in-state Florida Resident. Students will be admitted as non-Florida residents until documentation to prove Florida Residency is submitted. Check out our residency page to find out what documents you can submit to prove Florida Residency.
Complete our online application. Before you begin, be sure to decide what program you wish to apply for and review our residency requirements.
After submitting your application, you will receive an email notifying you of your next steps, including information on setting up your HCC Login. Your HCC login is what you will use to access HCC online services like the MyHCC Portal, where you can check your Hawkmail email and register for classes. Visit the Student ID and Account Management page for step-by-step instructions.
As a first time in college student, you are required to complete our Group Orientation.
You must submit official transcripts for high school, and all colleges and universities attended. Visit our Transcripts page for information on how to submit.
There are three ways to determine your placement level in reading, writing, and math. Your advisor will help determine which option is best for you.
Check out our Paying for College page to view your options for paying tuition. Apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA. Be sure to use the HCC school code 007870.
Meet with an Academic Advisor to build your academic plan. If you have not yet submitted your high school transcript and placement test scores (if taken), plan to bring copies to your advisor meeting.
