Financial Aid Important Dates
Bookstore Charging
July 29, 2024 – November 4, 2024
This service is available at campus bookstores if you have money leftover (a credit balance) after tuition and fees are paid. Students enrolled in 6 or more credit hours may charge up to $1000. Students enrolled in less than 6 credit hours may charge up to $500.
Please Note: To provide course materials for students the HCC Bookstores has an e-commerce website for students to place orders and have their textbooks shipped directly to them. There is no charge for shipping, students will be able to use their financial aid, and third party sponsored scholarships. See the Bookstore web page for more information.
PELL Census Date
August 24, 2024*
Pell Grant eligibility is determined by the classes you are registered for on August 24, 2024. Classes added after this date will not increase your eligibility for the term. See Pell Census Date for more information.
Cost of Attendance
August 26, 2024*
Financial Aid Awards will be adjusted after the 16 week drop/add period to reflect a student's actual enrollment status for each term. As a reminder, enrollment status determines financial aid eligibility. See Cost of Attendance for more information.
Financial Aid Refunds Begin
September 18, 2024*
*These are dates that students will begin receiving their financial aid refunds if all required information was submitted by the priority deadline. Financial aid refunds occur when the amount of financial aid disbursed exceeds the amount of your tuition, fees, and books.
