Postsecondary Adult Vocational Programs

HCC offers numerous certificate and short-term training options that will enable you to start a new career or update your skills for your advancement in your current job.

Our Postsecondary Adult Vocational programs (PSAV) are designed to meet current and emerging industry needs and are offered in a condensed format that combines classroom instruction and hands-on training.

Programs

Postsecondary Adult Vocational Certificates are non-college-credit job preparatory program. HCC offers the following PSAV programs listed below.

Automotive Collision Technology Technician

This program teaches automotive painting, repair, frame straightening, trim and custom painting, tinting, welding, and more.

Automotive Service Technology at HCC

Automotive Service Technology

This program is designed for high school graduates who are interested in automotive technology as a career.

Auxiliary Law Enforcement Officer

Graduates are able to serve as a part-time volunteer law enforcement officer.

Apprenticeships - Associated Builders and Contractors

HCC is on the forefront of preparing men and women to be leaders in the construction industry and offers construction apprenticeship training at the Dale Mabry Campus.

Private Investigator Intern

The Private Investigator "CC" (Intern) License class is offered in accordance with Chapter 493, Florida Statutes.

Bail Bonding

Students who graduate from this program will be eligible to become a bail bond agent for the State of Florida.

Bus Transit Technician

We prepare new students as transit technicians and train existing employees to become FTMC certified transit technicians.

Law Enforcement Officer

We prepare students for employment as a law enforcement officer under the auspices of the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC).

Our Corrections Academy prepares Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Corrections Cadets with the necessary training to pass the FDLE State Certification Examination.

Dental Assisting offers the student a career that requires both interpersonal and technical skills.

This program provides entry-level skills in heavy truck service and systems operation.

Welding Technology

This program builds a solid foundation and advanced knowledge of a variety of welding applications in preparation for AWS certification and a career in a welding field.
